Long time - no update!

It has been a while since I last updated this blog. It is not for lack of content, trust me!

I have so many things I want to blog about. I want to discuss my thoughts on The Elder Scrolls Online, I want to talk about Wildstar, DOTA, League of Legends, Hearthstone, World Of Warcraft and it's upcoming expansion, Warlords of Draenor. DayZ. Minecraft. What I am planning now I have started recording Let's plays again. So much to talk about.

Do many things I want to post about. I shall endeavour to get some more content created soon.

One thing I will note, is that I have changed the name of my YouTube channel from Velkairiwyth (Which is a bit of a silly name for visibility...) to VelkGaming, for the obvious reasons... :p

I miss BRK! (BigRedKitty)

Anyone who has been around the Blogosphere for the last few years probably knows whom this person is. A former columnist for WOW insider, and an avid Hunter through World of Warcraft.

Where is he now? I have no idea. I have tried searching for updates but the interwebz comes up short, and his blogs: Brain Needed Space has been silent for months, and BigRedKitty site seems to have been taken down...

Dang, even just thinking of his Hunter Guide Movies makes me want to break out World of Warcraft and resubscribe... If anyone knows the whereabouts of this fella, drop us a comment I'm sure the community that he pulled together is still floating about in wonder ^.^

Anyway, I felt like putting a random post in today and this is what crossed my mind! Enjoy!

Computer game sales numbers...

Im listening to episode #199 of The Instance - and their discussion of record game sales had me go googling... and I stumbled across a wikipedia page that got me thinking!!

I as impressed by some of the numbers from the more recent consoles, then I seen the Wii... 76M sales of Wii Fit - when other consoles are topping out at like 20M...

Then I got to the mention of Angry Birds... 250M... I guess mobile phones are truly a good platform for gaming now! That is insane!

The Instance, ah - the joys :)

I have been listening to some old episodes of the instance as I go about my rounds, driving from site to site as part of the internship. I must say, it has been a good giggle. The news may be old - but the entertainment value is as good as ever. As is the nostalgia value.

I have been putting together some notes from the shows as I go, as a while ago I decided that it would be awesome to get a list of episodes with nice short decriptions and bullet points of the main content that can be referenced, as well as other info like hosts, run time, and links to the episode blog and audio file.

I now have the latest 4 on my HTC, ready for my trip to Glasgae tomorrow. God help me, I been struggling coping with the drive to/from edinburgh... I better hit the sack!

Zombie Jesus Day

For some reason that name always makes me giggle. Now that the time of fertility celebrations are here - I cant help but think how much I wanna play wow and chase about little Noblegarden eggs... I must be insane.

May the 1st is Beltaine - I wish I was in a position to attend some of the celebrations that go on around the country at that time... it IS Sunday though - so perhaps a BBQ with some friends is in order... Then exam on the Monday. (Ah crap, I am moving tomorrow afternoon and all day wednesday... that leaves from Thursday to study for my next exam... yey! ...)

Anyhoo! Sooner they are done with the better. Just gonna enjoy the ride.

I put a post up this morning on my old World of Warcraft blog. (It still had a fair amount of traffic so I figured I would start putting some posts up even though I am not currently playing.)

A while back for an irrelevant university class we were asked to do a 2 minute presentation on anything we wanted - and I decided to talk about the skills gained when playing MMORPGs that can be transferred to jobs.
